The seven member Elizabeth Fry Societies in Ontario are: Southern Ontario, Northeastern Ontario, Northwestern Ontario (Thunder Bay), Ottawa, Peterborough, Simcoe County and Toronto.
Societies provide a spectrum of programs and services designed to meet the unique needs of women. Professional staff and volunteers, governed by volunteer community boards, provide services that include counseling, programming, financial assistance, accommodation, court assistance, and emotional support, from the time a woman is arrested through to discharge from prison and return to the community.
